SUMMARY:  What a lovely book.  The author combines elements of three different stories to create this masterpiece.   We are introduced to a brave princess and majestic white bear.   Unknowingly the princess betrays the mysterious bear and he is banished to be wed to the troll queen.  The beautiful princess goes to the ends of the earth in her quest to free him from the magic spell.   The illustrations are beautiful.

HOW I WOULD USE THE BOOK AS A TEACHER:   This book teaches about honesty, bravery, kindness and devotion, all admirable traits that our students should learn.
